There are some casual ARKit games that once you start them you just can’t stop playing. In this post, we are going to take a look at the Top 5 most addicting iOS AR games as of 2017. As I tried to wrap up 2017, I want to look back and see which of those ARKit games that I’ve played have been the most addicting.
Here is the list of my top 5 most addicting iOS AR games of 2017. They are listed in no particular order.
AR Flip Knife – AR Flip Knife is an immensely addictive and fun game, this is definitely its strongest part and what made it so popular. I really enjoyed playing it but I can’t ignore the fact that it looks very not good in AR. In the Normal mode, you get at least enjoy some nice vibrant background. I recommend downloading the game and playing it, it’s a fun little game, but the AR experience was felt mediocre at best. What saves that AR mode is the addictive and fun gameplay experience.
My Country – My Country is a beautiful cartoon-style City-Builder Augmented Reality game that is very easy to pick up and very hard to let go. Its adorable atmosphere captivated me from the first second. It’s one of those game that you just can’t let go off. The game feels great in AR, due to the vibrant visuals, animations, character interactions and spatial sound effects. I really enjoyed seeing aircrafts flying across my living room and passing over the city. It’s not the in-depth and complicated city builder game I was looking for, but a really enjoyable and addictive game that will keep me coming back for more every time.
Let’s Stack AR – Let’s Stack AR! is my favorite block stacking AR game in the App Store. It boasts super addictive gameplay mechanics that feels great on every tap that you make. The game has charming music that blends well with the colorful and cheerful visuals. A great casual AR game that will be liked kids and adults alike. The game was developed by a 10-years-old Australian boy, impressive don’t you think?
Kickerinho World – Kickerinho World is a superb freestyle football game featuring attractive visuals, a super fun and addictive gameplay experience, alongside an engaging Augmented Reality (AR) mode. It’s a great game for both kids and adults alike. Although the AR mode lacks the beautiful backgrounds that the Normal mode features, it felt really good playing it in AR and I actually enjoy playing it more in this mode. A must have—Don’t miss this game!
Leep Endless Run – LEAP Endless Run comes with a fun although limited AR mode. Still, the game plays differently and quite well in this mode. The game centers around very basic jumping mechanic and the fun factor actually lies in its difficulty. If you love casual yet challenging games or endless runners, in particular, I have no doubt that you will enjoy playing this game as well.
Other very addicting games worth mention are Stack AR, Arcade Plane, AR Football, and Fit In.
