Mini Guns for those of you who don’t know is a multiplayer real-time strategy game (RTS). In this game, two players fight against each other in a battle for domination. Each player takes each side on the map and starts deploying army units into the battlefield.
The goal of the game is to destroy your opponent’s base. The game features a wide variety of air and land vehicles and infantry units. As well as co-op mode where you can team up with your friends to destroy the enemy base.
Yesterday, November 9th, the game has received a new AR Mode (supported by ARKit). I’ve played this game today for the first time and it’s really fun and addictive game.
I’ve played the game in Normal and AR mode. I really liked the AR mode because it’s really nice to be able to view the game from any perspective you like. Having said that, the map looks very boring because the ground is completely transparent without any textures and the objects in the scene are very minimal.
I personally think that the developer should use a texture for the surface to make it more interesting. So overall I am not excited about that particular version of the game, but it’s nice that the developer gives the users an option to choose which mode they prefer playing that game with.
By the way, the battle viewer also works in AR mode. This means that you can see other player’s battles and view in augmented reality. I actually think that the AR mode is better as a spectator. Don’t get me wrong, the AR mode plays very well but it’s just looking less colorful, detailed and interesting than the regular mode, in this particular game.
If you already play this game and haven’t seen this mode yet, don’t forget to update to the latest version, which is version 1.0.12. Enjoy the new AR mode, cheers.
