Good things comes to those who sweat in AR

These AR Games will make you Move and even Sweat

I’ve been playing a lot of different AR game, some of them can be played while sitting, others require a great deal of movement. I have to be frank here, sometimes I just enjoy playing an AR game from the comfort of my chair. Not every AR game gets to convince me to stand up and start moving.

Some games however not just convinces me to move around the room, but actually, make me really enjoy it and get addicted to the physical aspect of playing an AR game. Some of those game got me really sweaty. I felt like I was doing some workout in a gym and I had to take a shower after I finished playing them. So which are those games that can really make your body move?

I compiled a short list of my favorite ARKit games that I really enjoyed their physical gameplay aspect. The games are arranged in no particular order.

ARZombi (Shooter/Survival)

Shooting zombie with a pistol in the living room, ARZombi game screenshotARZombi will make you run around the room like crazy. You’ll always be turning around to see where the zombies are coming from, running to the nearest door or window to board it up. It ‘s a great game to play in a large room where you have enough place to move around the place, but not too large that you won’t feel the action.

The movement is fun because it also combines a first-person shooting experience, alongside melee capability.

Meddling Martians AR (Action)

Meddling Martians AROne of my favorite ARKit games is called Meddling Martians AR. This game rocks. You can’t play this game while sitting on a couch, you have to stand up on your fit and continuously moving in order to capture falling bombs using your bucket.

You control the bucket using your iPhone or iPad. This game is very immersive because there is a strong physical connection between the virtual and real world. When the bomb bumps on the bucket edge you really feel like it has a mass.

You really need to try it out. It didn’t get me sweating, but it sure made me run around the room like mad. I just can’t recommend this enough, get it and try it yourself.

Alien Invaders AR (SHooter)

Alien Invaders ARAlien Invaders AR, at least the first time I’ve played it, got me to run like mad in the room. I was always moving around the lay down the shots on the aliens and always moving to avoid getting hit by their incoming projectiles.

This is the game that I told you that got me sweating like crazy and I really need to take a shower before writing a review about it. It looks like a just a non-thrilling AR Space Invaders game until you play it and you see how fun it is.

AMON (Puzzle)

Mercury statue informationAMON is one of my favorite ARKit games. It brings such a fun puzzle-solving gameplay experience. In AMON you won’t need to move around like crazy like some of the other games. AMON requires that you move around the environment trying to align the puzzle pieces together to form a complete statue.

The game is based on an optical illusion concept. This means that only at a certain angle and distance you’ll be able to actually see the statue as it should be. At all the other angles it will just look like a bunch of rocks spread around the room with no recognizable looking shape. A must-have ARKit game in my opinion.

You Gun Die AR (Shooter)

You Gun Die AR iOS gameYou Gun Die AR is not among my favorite ARKit games, this game does require constant movement.to be able to avoid getting hit by skulls. If you get hit by even one skull the game is over. The game takes place 360-degrees all around you, so you always need to watch the radar and look our where the enemy is and where the skulls are coming from. It’s a challenging game that will definitely make your body move.

If you want to play an AR game that demands the player to move around the room, I highly recommend checking those games out. I’ll post more recommendation of different types of games that you might be interested in playing as our review database gets larger. This will help you quickly find out certain types of games that might better fit your personal game style.
