The Tower AR

The Tower AR Game Review (iOS)

The Tower AR is a simple yet challenging fast-paced tapping AR game. This game will test your tapping speed to the limit. The rules of the game are very simple. You need to tap on the bottom right side for blue tower segmented and left side for white tower segment.

The game shows you the clickable area but removes it once the game has started. You need to remember where each one is. Now, there is a tower in front of you. You need to look at the bottom part of the tower and tap the side that matches the most bottom color segment.

There is a time limit for each tap so you can’t just wait forever. You can do it relatively slowly like on segmented per second, but you are going to get only one point per segment, whether if you do it fast, you gain bonus score.

Sometimes the segments will come in a sequence of many matching colors, and this is the time to push and tap fast to maximize the score. The game takes a lot of practice to master. Sometimes you can even forget what color is on which side because you are so concentrated in looking at the tower bricks.

The game features a global leaderboard, so you can compare your results versus other players from all around the world.

The game is nothing special in AR. There is a seagull that flies around and some simple visual effects but really nothing special to be excited about. If you are searching for a challenging AR game to play on your free time, one that doesn’t require a lot of space, this is a good choice.

I personally think that this game could have been better with different levels, each one with its own towered and even more than just two colors for the ultimate experience.

The design of the game is simple and nice. I don’t think adding more visual elements could have made it more fun because there are a strong eye focus and concentration of a specific area of the game. It’s not that type of game that you’ll be roaming around it and enjoy its detailed levels. It’s like AR-Tower and Stack AR both are not visually impressive but are very challenging and fun to play.

I personally prefer Stack AR because  I like the focus on timing rather than my agility. The Tower AR also feels quite anemic without any exciting features that will extend its replay value and get you excited to get back to the game.

If you like the idea of the game and like mobile games that rely on fast-reaction times, I think you are going to love The Tower AR. It’s also nice to have an AR game that doesn’t require a lot of space and you can play it even while sitting on your bed.
